Steps to a Successful Project

INFORMATION SHEET

INTRODUCTION:

Your Granite & Marble Designs contact will explain and expedite your stone purchase from start to finish. This gives you one service provider for all your needs. Your contact is Mike Clifton and can be reached at: 303-522-3969.

STEPS TO COMPLETING YOUR STONE PROJECT:

1. DESIGN: Your contact will get measurements and/or obtain measurements and help you design your project including, stone collections, edge selection, backsplash choices and even sink selections. The contact can help direct you with your stone selection and determine how much stone the project will require.

2. ESTIMATING: Your contact will provide you with a detailed estimate identifying all costs and details for the project. The estimate will state what is included as well as anything not included.

3. STONE SELECTION: Your contact will guide you through the stone selection. Using the listing of stone suppliers below, you may visit the supplier of your choice based on the recommendations of your contact or you may schedule an appointment with your contact to assist you in your selection.

4. PURCHASE AGREEMENT: Your contact will finalize the estimate and purchase agreement and receive your 50% deposit. This prompts the delivery of your stone selection to our shop for scheduling and fabrication.

5. PURCHASERS RESPONSIBILITIES: All sinks, faucets and appliances that are obtained by the purchaser, need to be expedited and obtained by the purchaser so they are available for templating, fabrication and installation. If these are not available and the job needs to be rescheduled, scheduling changes affecting other clients should not be expected. If an additional installation trip is required due to purchaser issues and neglect, there will be a minimum trip charge of $250.00.

6. TEMPLATING: Your contact will coordinate the templating and measuring of your project. The assigned templator will need to have someone available to answer questions and sign off on the final measurements. Be sure to have all sinks and any other fixtures available that will be a part of the countertop project. Undermount sinks will be brought back to the shop for the fabrication process.

7. FABRICATION: Our shop will fabricate the stone according to the contract and the design of the template approved by the customer.

8. INSTALLATION: Our installers will install your stonework based on the schedule coordinated by your contact, usually 7-10 business days from the date of the template.

9. COMPLETION: Your contact will arrange a final visit to inspect the installation and confirm final payment.
